2014 Lions Club International Convention

Wednesday 30 July 2014

It has been an exciting month for the Lions!

We were lucky to have the 97th Lions Club International Convention take place in Toronto on July 4th to July 8th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The Lions Club International Convention is a one time of the year event where all the Lions from all around the world meet up to discuss important issues that will dictate the future of the association as well as to showcase the different initiatives that each of the Lions club from different countries held during the year to help their own community.

As a volunteer, it was a privilege to get involved in such a unique event! I mean, those four days were full of excitement, laughter, dancing and colour! Plus, we all got the chance to meet fellow Lions from all over the world! Several of the highlights included the International Lions Parade and the election of the new international president. See below for the pictures of the Convention!

In another note, let’s congratulate the new international president of Lions Clubs International, Joe Preston.

For all those interested on the 2015 International Convention, note that the 98th Lions Clubs International Convention will be held in the lovely city of Honolulu, Hawaii (USA) on June 26th to June 30th, 2015!
